What Would You Say...to your parents

Over the course of several weeks, I interviewed teens and asked them to talk honestly about how they felt about their parents. For the last part of the interview, I gave them the chance to tell the camera exactly what they would say to their parents if they coule be completely honest.

NOTE: In order to be as intimate with the subjects as possible, the only person in the room beside the person in front of camera was the director/interviewer. No booms or lav mics were used; only the on-board mic. As a result, sound quality was sacrificed. No lights beside the natural light in the room were used for the same reason.

im 13 turnin 14 on may 2nd. and when i told my dad i was bi he spanked me.... and i have been emo since then and i jus want my parents to be better parents i want to run away but i love them so i just stay here and deal with it.... i just dont know what to do anymore.

@aqua212 wouldnt that have compromised the experiment? I mean if you didn't tell the kids that you were going to show their parents, or at least tell the ones who's parents you DID show, then wouldnt having lied to your "specimens"( for lack of a better term) have compromised your results?

It's not that simple. You think it's a good thing for kids to be handed all they need and then suddenly cut-off? Humans are animals with animal brains. Treat a dog this way and people consider you cruel. Do it to a teenager and it's just "life". The problem is that so many parents are clueless. Ignorant. Deluded. Stupid. Especially the hardcore Christian ones. There need to be patterns of experience in child rearing. When your parents are harsh and unpredictable it makes "life" really hard.
