Duran Duran - Lonley In Your Nightmare
Genre: New Wave
Released: 1982
Recorded: Townhouse Studios, London, England
Lyrics:
Even on the darkest night when empty promise means empty hand
And soldiers coming home like shadows turning red
And when the lights of hope are fading quickly, then look to me
I'll be your homing angel, I'll be in your head

Because you're lonely in your nightmare let me in
And there's heat beneath your winter let me in

I see the delta traces living lonely out on the limb
And a passing glimmer warm beneath your skin
Please tread gently on the ground when all around you earth turns to fire
Only get a second chance when danger's on the wind

Because you're lonely in your nightmare let me in
Because there's heat beneath your winter let me in

Must be lucky whether when you find the kind of wind that you need
Come on show me all the light and shade that made your name
I know you've got it in your head, I've seen that look before
You've built your refuge, turns you captive all the same

Because your lonely in your nightmare let me in
And it's barren in your garden let me in
Because there's heat beneath your winter let me in

Because you're so lonely in your nightmare let me in
And it's cold out on the stone range let me in
Because there's heat beneath your winter let me in

  • John Taylor is probably the most underrated bassist of all time! His bass lines are the backbone of every Duran song....the mood, the pace, the magic comes from him. I guess the money and banging all the hot women made up for the lack of public notoriety. But still, his talent has NOT gone unnoticed!!

    7up!

  • Takes me right back to sitting in the back seat with my walkman / headphones on, at 10, next to my sister, in the late 80s on long road trips up and down California with the parents.

  • @1ring2rule3pigs maybe he is underrated becuse he is a pretty face and was not member of a more heavy rock oriented band.

  • Sometimes I lie on my bed at night - put on Duran Duran's greatest hits- meditate with thoughts and memories from the eighties - it is fucking great - My imagination allows me to go back to the past for an hr and forget about this fucking cruel world

  • @Stephen069able

They still are the shit - no guilty pleasure here - see you were smart - Duran Duran got you laid and pleasured your ears with good music - lol

  • @acetoday1

And now life fucking blows -lol I remember those times man- they were the best

  • @1ring2rule3pigs And Simon a very underrated poet!

    <3!

  • when duran duran was big, I was the only guy in school that liked the music; which put me in good with all the girlies. It may have been the eighties, but they were the s*#t.

  • @1ring2rule3pigs the problem is that the whole band was always been so much underated. blame the stupid press.

  • great parking song in 1983
