The Making of the Honda Impossible Dream TV Campaign

Honda impossible dream: it is rare that I am ever inspired by an advertising campaign, but this advert is so moving a combination of Honda's progress through its history and Andy Williams uplifting lyrics that I wanted to find out more about how it was made. This was the DVD they sent!

This was on the cover: "Making impossible dreams happen. It's something that Honda does every day. Because if you aim for the impossible, then you might just end up with something that's never been done before."

Hey - yeah. Watching the Liverpool v Real M Champions League match tonight and before hte match... completely out of the blue, this Ad came on... brilliant. Quite a lot of people got to see it.

I'm an American living in the UK, and I'll tell you why - it's the stupid redneck mentality we have that is perpetuated by WWE, NASCAR, Budweiser and the rest of our phoney macho pursuits that contribute to our general 'big is best' approach to things. Honda is known for progressive engineering. People would say this commercial is a 'pussy ass commercial' and Honda is smart enough to know that. We don't appreciate such creativity in the states. "I'm gonna buy me a Ford truck" is all we deserve.

it breaks my heart that old cars and bikes like those are couped up inside and never driven. I drive a mini cooper, a real one, and even after a few days sitting the car is grumpy and unhappy on start up, he needs to be run as often as possible. these old cars are living breathing machines, they need to see the road, they need to live

when honda pulled out from f1, 'someone' put this ad on one british tv, for the one last time. such an irony, especially when brawn won the titles :(
