  • Surgery for jumpers knee is not always 100% effective, however many people do find relief following surgery

  • I had surgery, and mine was not successful. I've had it since I was 11 (29 years old now). I had my surgery at age 25, it didn't work a bit. If anything, I'm in more pain than where I started.

  • @PfcViksdalen See the video "taping for jumpers Knee"

Also invest in a foam roller. Get a trainer or physiotherapist to show you how to "roll out" your leg muscles, hips, glutes, and calves to ensure tension isn't left on the knee following activity. Alignment most likely the biggest cause of pain in tendinitis. I've had it bad in one leg and mild in the other for 7 years. A year ago I couldn't squat, today I dead 315lbs, and powerlift as part of my crossfit training. Research!!!

  • Hello all,

I think stretching and reducing of muscle dysbalances, deep frictions and, the most important, exccentric training is the best way to get healed. of this injury. excentric training: 1 leg squats, but just go down on one leg and go up on both. hope I could help

  • Please answer this ASAP:

I have Jumper's knee and have been out from all training for 7 weeks. I begun with my regular football, volleyball and strenght. I just feel pain during warm-up. All the sites I've been reading on says: 6 months rehab, do not workout too much bla. bla bla. I do not know what to do :S

-Should I take it more easy during workout?

    -Just do regular?

    -Get rehab?!

  • @vicentemassey93 that's weird because I'm having the surgery in just over a week and my doctor said I will be out for 3 months. Maybe it just depends on age. I'm 22....
