Looks like technological unemployment will further the demise of our monetary system and the resource based economy will become reality sooner than we think. Thanks for posting this!

Please make one that can do my job. It sucks and I'm wasting the best years of my life because some retard invented the equation of : money + materialism + ownership = success.

I'm not sure what human beings were made for but I'm pretty sure it wasn't for working 9-5 five days a week for 40+ years.

we weren't, actually... the whole 9-5 & chronic, low-levels of stress is something we have absolutely no defences against and it's slowly destroying our minds and bodies.

we are slowly killing ourselves and for what? a flimsy promise that it's going to get better when we die or retire? No. I want it better NOW while i have the ability to enjoy it. don't worry, i'm willing to work for it (i'm not a lazy bum) but i do not believe we should sacrifice for later when later is not guaranteed.

How much energy the robot spends on at least one strawberry? That technology just fun toy, not more.

Ideally this would all be done in a greenhouse under controlled conditions and smooth flooring. As for the energy, it should be green. Perhaps all the energy would come from nearby solar panels. Sure the robot is slow now, but it won't always be this slow. And it wouldn't need to be super fast to get a lot of produce harvested if you had lots of robots working simultaneously.

A little slow but if programmed properly, this machine could theoretically harvest almost any fruit we like. What do you think people?
