Candy Chang: Before I die I want to...

In her New Orleans neighborhood, artist and TED Fellow Candy Chang turned an abandoned house into a giant chalkboard asking a fill-in-the-blank question: "Before I die I want to ___." Her neighbors' answers -- surprising, poignant, funny -- became an unexpected mirror for the community. (What's your answer?)

One of my fellow classmates took his life on Friday, March 1. He was in my newspaper class when we watched this video together. As a class, we each wrote our own "Before I die..." In honor of the boy who shared his dreams to fly with me, I want to start a Before I Die project at my school by making a wall and printing shirts. Each of us would write our own dreams on the line and wear them in honor of Campbell. With the proceeds we make, I wanted to donate that to a teen suicide prevention org.

They started this project in my med school at University of Jordan, they've put a blanch paper with the title "before I die I want to" on each study seat in the medical museum so each student would write their answer while studying. I read some of the answers every time I go there, some are a bit shocking & others are really funny.

Great idea! & before I die I want to become a doctor and see the world :)
