@thegammageek1 I kind of look at the Frankenstein monster as an infant child, when he's practicing speech. When someone starts to talk for the first time, they might tend to speak in the sort of manner the monster does in this scene; especially some cases with speech impairments.

But that's just my guess, you understand

@ALEXBRYCE001 The best is o.p. heggie { blind herrmit ] praying to god / and thanking him for sending him a friend , to where he downgrades himself by saying to the lord ," How heavenly father I thank thee for showing great mercy and great pity on my lonlyiness ??? ---- do you know in real life O.P. was born in australia in 1877 meaning he was 58 years old making that scene .. The perfect T shirt is to have the old hermit , why ? why not !!
