This extract was recorded by the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra conducted by Charles Munch while they were in London on a tour of Britain in 1947. Charles Gerhardt, an RCA producer who often worked with Kenneth Wilkinson the engineer of this recording, expressed the view that this recording, released here for the first time on compact discs, was the best recording of Daphnis et Chloe Suites ever made.
It is a track from Beulah 1PD31 MUNCH IN LONDON also available as a download at iTunes

Robert Matthew Walker writes in "International Record Review" March 2009:
" The tone on theses 78s is at times very impressive. The "Reformation" also appears on a recent Dutton all Mendelssoh CD, but the Beethoven and Ravel are worth such a duplication."
