one of theeee best video games I have ever played!!! Better than elite...more addictive than any game...I love it and still play it today! I hope they re-release it for the PC ...reprogram it and incorporate /Elite style stuff into it and online play as well.
Awesome ...just AWESOME!

wow for the time that game was impressive.

It's actually ridiculous what the old ARM hardware can do. I was astounded that this ran on an A5000 as well as it did, but to see it on an A3010 is flabbergasting.

Inspired by this game I have created an updated version Space Fighter 4000 for the Xbox 360

That is awesome, I'll be checking it out asap. Any chance of Stunt Racer 2000 too? :D

Just to add is this on the Indie section? I don't think I can access XNA game like you used too. When I run the XNA it tries to sell me something!

It's incredible how they managed to make it playable on a machine that's barely the equivalent to an Amiga 1200. It must've been pretty impressive back in the day. Or maybe not, maybe people compared it with the superior PS1 version and concluded this port sucked.
NOTE: there is no sarcasm intended in my words, I don't want to bash this game. I just can't figure out how this version was received.

Just to add, I'm pretty sure the A3010 had more horsepower than the Amiga 1200, the Acorn A5000 and Risc PC had even more power. A stock A3010 is around 6 MIPs.
Star Fighter 3000 was an Acorn original game and it proved so popular and impressive that it was later ported to the PS1, Saturn, PC and 3DO I think. However I believe they did play different so the original has still remained a pure experience.
