im 48 now, and remeber the whole era, the influence bowie had on music and fashion was massive, there was limited availabilty to know what was in style, and you copied what you saw on the street. we were skins and suedeheads, mainly. then i remeber going down filbert street football ground in leicester, and it was like every other kid had the bowie cut, some even had it dyed that reddy ginger, and had to put up with the old man going on about not sure if your a boy or a girl !! ironic that eh?
