  • Gambling is NOT a traditional Native American value and expanding casinos that promise economic windfalls but fail to deliver is NOT the way to balance the state budget! The beautiful Capay Valley in northern California has been ravaged by development and traffic ever since the Cache Casino went in. It's a huge sprawling edifice and the traffic to and from Sacramento is constant, day and night. SAY NO TO GAMBLING EXPANSION!

  • Leon Nixon is a racist cocksucker. Been arrested numerous times for beating wives, girlfriends, his 11-year-old nephew, etc. Fired from two agencies for fucking an inmate and for beating a female trainee. Promoted to Lt. after chasing a female trainee into the lockerroom, now a captain at the LA Port after being taken care of by his racist buddy, Chief Boyd.

  • its called we are sovereign and don't have to give or do anything for the state, we owe them absolutely nothing nor are obligated to do a single thing and considering that they tried to exterminate us we sure as hell don't owe them a single damn thing, I am aware I've said thing and owe a few times but I need to get the point across

  • I lost $400 at Morongo the other day.. fuckers..lol

  • GO PECHANGA!

  • hahahahah i work at pechanga. it passed and that means ill be making even more money.hahahaha jelous people.i loveeeee special treatment.hahahahahaha u all suck butt thanks for trying

  • I voted No, since I felt it was unfair to smaller tribes, even though I liked the fact that it would've placed much more stringent environmental measures on the four large tribes. But that doesn't matter now, since the Yes's won. :\

  • You contradicted yourself in your own post.

    "Quasi-Sovereign nations"

    and

"Never receieved any special treatment" are contradictory terms.

Amerinds were made citizens of the United States in 1924. To allow them their even semi-autonomous nature, and allow them to not pay the same taxes as everyone else is special treatment.

To allow them to DECIDE how much they should pay would be even more stupidly preferential.

All or none. Open it, or close it.

    No preferential treatment.

  • Hildulf,

Illegal monopoly on gaming?? Thats not what it is. Tribes are quasi sovereign nations who found the nitch there strict policy with the Fed gov't to finally make some money

to provide for their own communities.

BELIEVE ME- NATIVE AMERICANS HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY SPECIAL TREATMENT FROM STATE OR THE FEDS.

  • I voted no on 94-97, today.

Amerinds shouldn't have an illegal monopoly on the gambling business in California.

Either open up gambling to any business, or close it off, altogether.

    No more special treatment.
