BOSS Blues Driver BD-2 vs. Keeley BD-2. A demo comparing a stock BD-2 to a Keeley modified BD-2 (with the "phat" switch both on and off).
Fender Telecaster through a Hot Rod DeVille 212.
No talk...just demo!!! No showing off...just trying to help you hear the difference between the two pedals.

The sound quality on the video doesn't do it justice. The bottom end on the Keeley mod gives some delicious bottom end to the tone. It really gives a body to the guitarwork of a song. I would recommend it for anybody who has the expertise and little bit of extra cash.

@baconfoot I hear ya. Listening to the original WAV file w/ studio monitors, it's easier to hear the warmth of the Keeley. Unfortunately, some quality was lost through the upload process. But hopefully this just gives everyone the general idea. I agree with you though, I'm a huge fan of the Keeley mod.

Nice pickin' I did like that. I think i prefer live vids with pedals getting stomped on and off. The original BD-2 doesnt seem too far off of the Keeley. I can here some slight tonal changes in the higher softer attack notes. Dont know if its worth the extra bucks just to have that cool Keeley switch on your pedal board.

@ourawkfist Thanks. I feel the stock BD-2 is a very usable pedal, but I've found the Keeley adds some desirable overall warmth to the tone. Yep, just as you said, it's more noticable in certain situations...especially turning the phat switch on and off. I guess it's up to your ears if it's worth the extra bucks :-) Personally, the Keeley never leaves my board :-)
