Kirlian Camera return to their roots on their latest release, an e.p. of new tracks and remixes of classics entitled "Shadow Mission Held V".
One of the highlights is this track, a remix of Edges subtitled "Mission Walhalla V".
The original dance mix from 1984 is held in high regard (and rightly so) but this remix should not be ignored.
Ice cold but with a burning passion.

the 12 inches mix of edges, which I still have at home, when I play it, it still gives me goose bumps. 30 or so years alter.

I'm not saying it's bad, even if I think so, it's just my own personal taste in music. I simply feel, KC somehow lost the boldness and freshness of the early days. Everything seems too forced, over arranged. Yes, times are different, possibly in the early 80s, they had less resources, few analogue machines and scarce effects. And within these constraints the created unbelievably beautiful songs. I don't know, maybe I'm just old myself, and I become too stubborn to move onto the new.
