Here's some mute location footage from ATV's children's show, the Tingha and Tucker Club. Possibly from 1966. It looks like Auntie Jean has taken our fury and feathered friends to the zoo for the day. Possibly Twycross? Were you one of the many kids in the crowd that day? Woomerang, Boomerang! Enjoy a couple of minutes back in the good old days. I wish there was more!

Music is by Mark Wirtz and called 'Farewell To A Broken Doll' (1967)

  • @merionyydd

Your post is an old one- but am researching a British poet of about the same era as Jean Morton, and wondering if they are one and the same- particularly looking for a poem called 'Winning Through'- thanks

  • @gf1001 Thanks for the info- did THIS Jean Morton also write poetry- I have a poem by Jean Morton titled 'Winning Through'- would love the rest of the verses!

  • We used to like Willy Wombat - he spoke in a funny way & was v furry.

  • Jean Morton now lives in birmingham, still alert and ok and lives in a home for the elderly. I wish Jean knew how remembered she is. Lovely memories of Aunty Jean. Thanks for this footage.

  • Is it just me, or does "Auntie Jean" bear more than a passing resemblance to Yootha Joyce?

  • @TowedHaulProductions Me To I Guess We Still Are Lost my little Red Boomerang But We are Still Members Of Somthing That NO ONE CAN TAKE FROM US !
