A respond-video. I think a lot of Christians are describing themselves by what they're not, due to a "modern" version of Christianity that sits well with many, rather than the counter-cultural, anti-societal version that we started with, one that was not an "everybody's-doing-it" thing.
Ed had said that really, society determines a lot, many times the majority, or most times, of the religion. That a "Christian society" gives us "Christians," whereas another society, would give us their religion, and precondition us. I very much agree!
I am confused as to what you are presenting. Are you against the linguistic principals that allow us to communicate? We assign meaning to sounds that we produce and images we write. Is that bad?
Christians are Christians because they hold certain dogmas.
Atheists are atheists as we need a label for what we are being discriminated against, and that is the fact that we don't believe.
The variety of interpretations would make it hard for you to pin a label on Christianity, other than base dogmas.
