Amazing and fun. Thx for posting. Is it typical for this style of dancing to focus on always a four part axis? I have seen one other even more complex with a focus on diagonal movement in the last half of the dance. The complexity makes me ask. Does this style usually start with an axis which focuses on straight lines? Would that be basic for this style?

Thats my oul man in first tops (Tom King). 79 next birthday and still dancing and playing da flute 3-4 times a week at sessions. I dance the Cavan Reel Set also but in da new style in first tops also. Just type Cavan Reel and its down near the bottom of these vidoes. Go Thomas Anthony.
If this is the old style of dancing, in what way have things changed?

The footwork is different Tom King (first top Gent Who give me the Video) told me this was the origonal cavan reel step. They put in less steps than what dancers do now. Also the toe
was used for variation when finishing, particularly before a swing.
