@JeisonKen when I was playing the game, Kain would piss me off because he kept on betraying the party, but now he's one of, if not my favorite characters

People who have played this game through and through know that Kain is probably the most important character. Think about it: while Cecil is being the hero, getting the girl, having everyone help him and becoming king in the end, Kain suffers because he cannot be the hero because of Golbez, he cannot get the girl because she doesn't love him back and he cannot become king because he must atone. Poor Kain; no human should have to go through all of that.
