I have put over 5,000 rounds through my barrel. I contacted Taurus about getting a new one and they were a dream to work with. I sent the entire firearm back to them and within 1 weeks time they had a new barrel on it with matching serials. Still shoots as good as the last one. No complaints after 4 years of hard abuse.

@billdo76 I thank God every day becouse the Polícia Federal (our FBI) uses the glock, the MP5 and G36; not the 24/7, CT 40 and IMBEL FALs... I would never risk my life with one of those in my holster. I work with the glocks 19 and 26 (the g26 is not mine, is propriety of the corporation). The problem is that in Brasil, guns are very rare, becouse the goverment want to take them from the people. They are expensive and dificoult to buy, even for law agents.

Kinda funny you say that..... The regular and the Polícia Federal just dropped the Glock due to a high failure rate and have now switched to the Taurus PT 24/7 after a 1.5 years of testing.

@billdo76 The Taurus corporation doesn't respect brazilian law agents. They send all the good products to US, and to us they send the worse products. Last mounth, a friend of mine, police agent of the state of Pernambuco, recived his 24/7 without the Recoil Spring. This absurd is due to the low demand of guns in Brasil. Our market can't match yours.

@joaoglucena Impossible, on the 24/7 the slide will not go into the receiver without the recoil spring. Therefore, I do not believe you. And, I will not beleive a single thing you say in the future and I will delete your posts.

but with that being said.. they have had some issues with their firearms.. but what company hasnt had problems? some make good guns.. some make great guns. ive owned glock, sig, beretta and enjoyed them!! but i can not say anything wrong about my taurus's! best gun ive ever bought hands down

i have the taurus 24/7 pro 45acp DS, and also in the 40 s&w, and i havent had a single problem with mine.. mine will even out shoot and even shoot ammo that a friends beretta wont touch. it and the PT1911 have performed nothing short of perfect;y .and for the price... its the best bang for your buck! would highly recommend to anyone!

@KhymeraB My 24/7 pro .40 S&W jammed to much. It had magazine feeding problems. I ended up selling. I loved the feel and accuracy of that gun, but I just couldn't own a firearm that I couldn't trust my life with, Maybe they fixed the magazine issues with the new 24/7 pro guns that just came out. I would like to try out one of those.
