@theyeatusdad What I would do is use Cain and Abel then scan the network I was connected to. This will give you a list of all IP addresses on that network. Then right click and select resolve host name. you will get results .like: Dad's Pc, B's Ipod, etc. It will have IP & Mac address listed. Just choose your device and shut it down. Pretty simple really..

1) He writes that netstat -n and get's ip, but then he types shutdown -i which there were a lot ip's and he didnt write there any of the ips, do you know why the don't do? because hes computer would shutdown.
If you got important things that isn't saved, save them and then try this. It's a bit scary for beginners like when they type.
after screen goes and says "Windows Shutdown" they say "WTF???" so thumbs up so newbies can see.
