Short video showing a progression towards the front and back judo roll. I like this progression because it teaches both rolls at the same time. The other reason I like it because I came up with it, so I am kinda proud of that :)
Nothing fancy, hope you like it anyway

  • At first I was like wtf is this guy doing, but now I know, I think this may help a lot to some people.

  • @dragan38765 Yeah, it's kinda the reverse way of I was taught it as well. You kinda learn the rolls w/o even noticing it ;)

  • Hey great video helped a lot. Half the time either I end up rolling to far to the right it seems like Im just rolling on my side. How do

I fix this? Also just to be sure my hands hit the ground first and my knees shouldnt hit the ground in a forward roll, right? Thanks for the help!

  • @qazzaqqaz3 The direction your feet are pushing you is one way to adjust your rolling direction (when rolling forwards). When rolling backwards, the kipping motion is the key element. Without it, it's much harder to roll over the shoulder.
