Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again-Claire Moore

Alright, I thought I would try something different. I love Claire Moore and I wanted to post a video including her version of "Wishing" but I only had the movie scene to use as a background. So the mouth movements don't jive, but hopefully that won't spoil your enjoyment of the greatness that is Claire Moore.

I don't get what everyone sees in Claire Moore. She is great, but I don't find here amazing. I much prefer other actresses who have played Christine, like Rebecca Caine and Sandra Joseph. I feel that Claire sometimes uses her chest voice out of place.

Well that is the beauty of having different interpretations. You can appreciate that each person is good in their own way. Doesn't mean that people can't like her. You just think Rebecca Caine is better. Good for you. Personally I am not a fan of Sandra Joseph. She is a very nice lady, and can surely carry a tune. I just tend to like Claire better. No need to insult other people's preferences.

maria bjornsons designs were so perfect, it was liek a carnival, like a french opera itself! the movies sets are so realistic, it murders the whole feel illusion

I have looked ALL over to find a version of the song where I actually LIKED the singer. This is better then ANY out there. ANd I am a professional singer, so I like to think I know the good ones;p (Though I don't like the change of words) BEAUTIFUL singing!!

Claire did play Christine! she was Brightman's understudy in the original production.

She's not a soprano.

I love Claire and Sarah; Claire definitely had a clearer tone in this song than Sarah ever could have dreamed of.

sarah's pronunciation of the lyrics was weird, it sounded as if she wasn't a native speaker of english

Wow. Finally someone who knows how to sing the song and communicate it and the character behind it - I don't even have to see her! And she's approaching it with the right vocal style (between musical theater and opera). She sounds great, and she doesn't butcher the high and low notes! Nice. I've been looking and looking for a decent rendition. Finally found a great one. Thanks for posting! :)
