Running the game with near ultra high settings on a custom built $500 computer. The exact computer specs are at the end of the video. I used FRAPS to record, but for some reason in FSX it hardly affects the frame rate at all. It runs maybe 5 fps lower when recording.

  • Hey man - looks pretty good, but I couldn't read your fps, what frame rates are you getting?

I'm getting ready to build a computer for a home sim-pit i'm building so it will be running fsx exclusively. And actually my computer right now is almost identical to yours so I'm curious.

  • @mormon97 i get about 20-30 in low populated areas like in the video. but if you want to play fsx seriously, i would suggest a computer with better specs than mine. i play fs2004 far more because it runs absolutely perfect with all the addons i have, fsx is more for vfr cessna flying and stuff.

  • omg, oke sure, you play on ultra but ! if you run with scenery's and addons ! i make a bet your system will slow down.. and then you cant play ultra!

  • @fijnzijn this is true, but with 500 dollars now instead of 2 years ago, you could probably build a computer that will play it with a few addons and run better than mine does on ultra in similar situations as this video

  • Would FSX run well with

80GB HDD ( Will be upgraded to 1TB Soon)

    2GB RAM (DDR)

    3.2GHZ P4 Processor

    Nvidia GeForce GT 7600 - 256mb DDR2

    Thanks, it's also a Shuttle ss51g V2

  • @sammoss147 to be honest i doubt it will run very well, if it even runs at all. your cpu is a 4 or 5 year old single core, the ram is not even ddr2. the video card is only about 1/3rd the power of mine.

  • @codyl1992 i have half the ram half the video memory and less clock rate then the guy you replied to, and i can run it. with 20 frames on lowest settings though :(

  • My old pc used to run it pretty well but i just upgraded so i can't wait to test it! Core I7 3.4ghz, 8gb ddr3 1333mhz ram with radeon 5770.

My old PC in Kai Tak or St Maarten with the flytampa addons i would only get about 25fps.

  • Well mine cost $700 and it STILL runs like shit... :P

  • Do you think an Intel Core i5 would work good?

  • And im looking at a 599.99 com GREAT! Thanks

  • btw, this is all a ddr2 system....

  • would my specifications look good on fsx?

    -ATI Radeon HD 4200

-e-GeForce 8600 GT using ATI Hybrid CrossFireX

    ??? any good ???

    Thanks, bmxbikerify

  • @pain20000 i think it will run smooth but you never know
