who build this this is awsome

@AdeonWriter If I recall correctly, a linked object is kind of like a compound object on the physics side, so it makes sense that the material covers the entire object, as it really becomes treated as a single object on the physics side. In regards to counter-argument of llDetectedLinkNumber for collisions, that actually involves an inefficient hack to find out what child prim was collided with.

@AdeonWriter Hey, not everything is made of wood... cars are made of glass!

Fantastic job on the test, a purely beautiful configuration! LOL @ rubber on rubber.

i think i know which one's rubber 8D

@kitsune0video It's possible it may have been introduced prior to 2007. I don't know anything that happened before May 2007. :P

@OpensourceObscure Indeed, I did many test with materials some years ago and the only thing I noticed were te sound, it changes and is more noticiable in crystal things. Good to see this now :D. Lets see if soon the wood floats on water xD
i guess its a good thing i've set all my rezzed blocks to be set to default metal.. i'm building a star ship.. what on it wont be? :p

@MalicTolsenVDF One thing I noticed is that if it's linked, the whole object is made out of the root prim's material.

So are you saying that different kind of material have now different phys reactions? :O

@kitsune0video Actually, they have since SL's creation, so it's nothing new. But it's not used very much, because people don't know about it. Everything in SL is made of wood! I'm testing Havok7 here only so I have something to go by when I do it on Havok10 to make sure nothing changed. :)
