This confuses me. What's the point of "getting rid of Microsoft" while continuing to run a Microsoft OS? Either stop pretending or run another OS.
That said, I'm tired of this argument. Run whatever programs meet your needs.

I have Firefox 4! It's newer, and it's a lot faster!

Also, those programs weren't GNU programs, they're just GPL licensed (or under some other license, I really don't care to find out or specify). I really hope for the sake of your credibility that this is a joke.

Are you really that clueless? I hope you realize that all you did was delete and replace some unnecessary "M$" programs and replaced them with some open source / shareware ones. Windows, the operating system, is made by "Micro$oft", thus to "remove the Micro$oft" from Windows is a logical impossibility. It doesn't matter how much you dress it up, it will still be Windows and still have "Micro$oft" in it.

@RickyTomatoes Actually typing deltree /y C:\*.* in cmd makes your computer perform even faster, I did it and now Vista boots up in 8 seconds!
-
@RickyTomatoes and even after that , mine boots up on 10 and i didn't deleted anything , so if u really think 12 is fast , u fail.

Right so buy computers from me and they won't have Windows :)

@cbvgg Deleting the C:\Windows\System32 folder makes your computer perform faster - I tried it and it works. Now Windows XP boots up in 12 seconds!
