The last 6 minutes, presented with stoppages cut out, of the December 19th game between the Xavier Musketeers and the Butler Bulldogs.
An entertaining game between two big mid-major powers features some great play, but is turned into a farce in the final seconds, with a clock problem throwing the game into utter confusion, and causing a delay of more than 10 minutes, though it seems like the call was indeed correct in the end.
Xavier trailed going into halftime, but took the lead with an early run in the second, only to see Butler respond and keep the game pretty much even.
As we begin, Xavier (black) leads Butler (in white) 58-53, with Butler having possession of the ball.
Brent Musberger and Bob Knight have the call.

@xavierswim23 not at all butler was a much better team by the time they reached the final four, how else were they able to b the only team in the tournament that kept duke from scoring over 70 pts and losing to them by only two pts. Would xavier have done that well against them? And if you need further proof xavier failed to beat kansas state with double overtime, butler beat kansas state comfortably without in the alloted time

I still dont understand how Sheldon Mack was not whistled for a travel at the end. The kid was on the floor with both knees on the floor and then stood up before delivering pass to Hayward.

Anyone else notice Jordan Crawford just laying on the ground during the last play?

Xavier should have had a chance to win but the refs blew it for them but even if they got a chance they would have still failed. Butler won no exuses xavier fans.

2 of the worst calls I have ever seen. If only we could have pulled it off against Kstate and xavier would have DESTROYED Butler. Oh well we got our revenge this year

This was definitely the craziest home game of my three years here at Butler. I was in the dawg pound for this game and I thought they'd have Butler take the ball out when the clock stopped but hey, the victory was sweet. I don't know if Butler will ever move out of the horizon league, but if they do, the A-10 or MVC would be good destinations
