  • I liked the Ray Daley years to (I think Gary Webster carried the part off well, why are these not shown on the re-runs of ITV4 at the minute??

  • Maybe not as good as the Dennis Waterman era opening sequence , its still humourous and in it's own way cinematographic. Euston Films knew how to do things proper, they don't make 'em like this anymore

  • Gary Webster was wasted in this, the stories were so fucking bad in the newer minders they must have been stoned to come up with the old shite they did. Anyway there was no chisholm,he was ace.

  • @Swainy101 Ya i was thinking because most things to do with Thames i'm nearly most always correct, aha, ,do u think it had ran its run Minder up to when it was cancelled in '94 or if Thames had kept the licence would it have lasted longer, personally i think Thames wouldn't have given up as easy on it. In fact if Thames was still around the whole of ITV would have being better off, Carlton only made a right mess of ITV the quality of programming dropped dramatically. I'm irish by the way!

  • @DFWM091 Yeah that would be correct. However it was Central Television is came up for the money for series 10. They simply funded the series. It was still the same people behind the series. Same writers, same directors ect.

  • @Swainy101 Well technically speaking Thames lost their licence officially in latter months of '91 from what i know and that's fact,so what u mean maybe is that is was made by Thames/Euston initially and then was ready for broadcast in '93 but they weren't totally sure what broadcaster would take it up Carlton or otherwise, would i be right in saying that. Anyway it was a great show whatever broadcaster produced in in the last 2 years of its run!

  • @MrBacktothenineties Yeah, something like that.

  • @MrBacktothenineties Actually you are mistaken. Series 9 was filmed during 1992 by Euston/Thames but they lost the franchise during production. Transmision was actual delayed because Carlton had none of their own shows ready and they held this back. Series 10 was the only series of Minder to be funded by Central.

  • @Paul8342

  • Don't you mean "rite the feem toon, sing the feem toon".......
