Classic Sesame Street: "What REALLY Happens Next?"

From Episode 56: Bert invites Ernie to play a guessing game with pictures, asking him what will happen after the scene each one shows. Ernie invents long, melodramatic answers every time--until Bert loses patience and insists that his friend play the game correctly. This time, the results aren't as wrong as Bert thinks...

After the original sketch, Gordon explains the pictures more realistically and tells the audience the logical answers for each one. ("We fixed Ernie, didn't we?")

@brightbite: Amen! I suspect I gave weirdly creative answers like Ernie's on my first IQ test as a girl--the shrinks told my mom I had a 69 IQ (it's close to twice that high, I learned later) and belonged in an institution. At least Mom never blamed Sesame Street for that incident! *whew*
