How different are spanish and portugese? if i speak a bit of spanish, can Brazilian people understand?... I so want to go to Brazil

very easy to understand spanish in Brazil, and the inverse too. Only some words need pay attention. Spanish to braziliam portuguese and braziliam portuguese to spanish.
