From their 1971 album of the same name. **The song is short by maybe 3 seconds at the beginning and 3 at the end, from the album track** Lyric interpretations can be found at: http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=3226

  • It's mesmerizing to me, incredible. I heard this as a kid in the 80's and was intrigued by the melodic piano and his voice. This type of talent is still out there, they are just being taught to use computers instead of their minds. We just got to help them out a little bit...

  • @zx1400a7f How true..... :(

  • I'm lookin at the picture of the band trying to remember everyones name (I pride myself on this type of nonsense) and I noticed that one of the pictures has Dave Mason in it.... I forgot that he was ever in Traffic until I noticed him in the picture. He left Fleetwood Mac to join Traffic or maybe it was the other way around. At any rate... Great Video and the pictures are priceless...THANKS MAN....

  • @motownharry Thanks for the nice comment, and I'm female, but no worries, lol :) You are right, it was the other way around. Dave Mason was originally in Traffic from '67-'68. Technically, he wasn't even in the band when this song/album was released! He was part of Fleetwood Mac for a time, in the 90's.

  • At 4:28, a Hendrix and Traffic session? Man, I would have loved to sit in on that!!

  • Dave Mason is still touring. He will be playing at a casino in Colorado this year.

  • One of the best tracks of all time, top 5!

  • Sitting on the edge of a cliff at midnite, the only light is the stars, strung out on acid and playin this,,,,,,AHHH the high school days.

  • The comments on this song make it a great portal for understanding music of this time period. Some clues on what was going on are in the song. Bless you son. Bless you daughter.

  • All I can say is...Damn you should have seen them do this song live...Rap and Hip-Hop be damned...Off with their heads...!

  • I'd love to see Justin Beiber or Lady Gaga (or should that be Lady Gag-Gag) do a song this intricate and good.

  • I just does not get much better than this..... I can still here the pops n clicks on my old LP. Damn!

  • @keaton1895 All 3 of them can go to that "Bieber" concert and get out of here !!!!!
