From their 1971 album of the same name. **The song is short by maybe 3 seconds at the beginning and 3 at the end, from the album track** Lyric interpretations can be found at: http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?i...

If you don't want to download the entire album from Amazon for this one track (they make you do that), you can use web software to rip the mp3 of this upload. One site is 'listentoyoutube'

"Low Spark..." is the title track to the album of the same name, 1971. "Shootout..." was released two yrs later.

Music today is simply pure trash compared to the real 'Rock 'n Roll' pioneers of the late 60's & 70's. I often think of how unlucky kids are today in terms of the music they grow up with......and more importantly what they don't even know they missed. I'm a total Led Zeppelin freak, but there was soooooooooo many great artists....including Traffic and more pointedly Steve Winwood (what a great voice!).

Actually not. The best music was produced between 1967 and 1980. Abby Road to In Through the Out Door, It's Hard, The Wall. Has nothing to do with age. The second best era was dominated by Bennie Goodman. I was 5 in 1967 and not even born in 1937. The 80's sucked and that's two thirds of the time from 12-30. The 90's by contrast was a good decade for music. I was 38 in 1999. I still see talent but it's all in Jazz now. Candy Dulfer and Saskia Laroo and to a lesser extent Mindy Abair.

Sorry Susan, but everyone thinks the music from the time they're 12 to about 30 if you're lucky is the best music ever. It's the nature of your brain maturing that it makes such an impression. That's why our parents were all misty eyed about big band, and why my son will be all misty eyed over Arcade Fire in 20 years. Fortunately I've always been a music junkie, and appreciate my parents and my son's music, but yes, the era from 1963 to 1980 is particularly special to me.

I never realized my parents were cool, until my friends told me. I dated a guy who looked like Steve Winwood, he had long red hair down to his waist. My mom told him he had the most beautiful hair she had ever seen. And a lot of people thought my ex looked like Dave Mason. I took a trip to Florida at the age of 16 & when coming home, there was a friend of mine from the neighborhood on the same flight. She said I always had the coolest guys coming to my house. And my mom & dad welcomed them all.
