Wow. This is was way ahead of its time. lol

Above poster is completely right. They're making jokes about how annoyingly PC seattle was becoming with the bay area influx of the mid 90's, and 15 years later the entire city is like that. Shame really, was a good place to grow up before the 'fornites moved in and ruined it.

But.. but... I like holiday cake. That's offensive!
-
I find it ridiculous that today even the term "black" is offensive
why not call black people black and white people white?
I can't call the African-Americans, since... what if they're African-Frenchs, African-Brits, African-Germans or just plain Africans? I would insult them by implying that ever since the slave trade every black person must be American
I can't imagine why such simple terms would be offensive, same goes for "Indian" which was an hoest mistake by a guy who got lost

@victimofcheese Seattle was like this in the late '80's and early '90's, too. I really can't blame the immigrants.
-
Pat Cashman and Bill Nye were the only ones worth watching
-
Lady: "I want to talk about fruitcake. That word is offensive in SO many ways."
Me: "...why, beacuse it's a perfect description of you and you know it?"
-
@victimofcheese Xenophobic asshole! What the hell have immigrants ever done to hurt you? Nothing! They're is no reason AT ALL for this attitude! All it does is make you look bad! To judge somebody on where they were born is just in bad taste! Oh and by the way, how can you speak for a whole damn city? Fuck you!
-
@HeavyMetalGuns They'd have to use a wide-angle lens to get Kiester on the screen these days. I'm glad Cashman is still on the radio and TV. He's one of those voices you'll never forget.

Pulpy-tissued plant ovaries!

God yes. The world needs this.

I so remember this - it was hilarious! Almost Live ran for 16 yrs, though I think the early years were better (Iike SNL). may it was me? LOL!
You guys are funny. Never thought this video would stir up such controversy. Anyhow, My family came here from Idaho during the Great depression and the majority of people I know parents/parents are from Seattle and as I've read, the PC'nes" of Seattle is due to the Norwegian and Native American cultural influences which 'used' to dominate the city. Yes Ballard is still very Norwegian!
