Right after Paul gets stabbed by Count Mancini, and having watched them getting killed by the lion, he walks onto the stage but soon collapses and dies in Consuelo's arms.

This clearly demonstrates the talent, skill, and grace that distinguished Lon Chaney from his contemporaries and from a great number of thespians that have come after him. What an actor he was, such a tragedy that he only made one talkie.

Outstanding film, some of the Master's best work. Makes a great double bill with "Laugh Clown Laugh". No one has ever outdone Chaney for touching the Human soul.

What a powerful film. He gets his revenge, but what an awful price to pay. Lon Chaney was brilliant. Norma Shearer is excellent as well. So beautiful she was.:o)
