GOOD: If Mos Def Were President

i'm kinda dig about free breakfast to the kids.. wow.. how i can never think about that? damn... i want him to be president.. and he's fine too!

Man.. I dunno why everyone's complaining about the tax.. that's less than what we pay in Toronto.. and he even says that if you make more, you give more.. if I was an American I would vote for Mos.. but unfortunately in this corrupt commercialized world that will never happen..

Can't hang with the flat tax. 10% may not seem like a lot to someone who makes a living screwing other people out of health care but talk to someone working part-time for minimum wage.

Progressive taxation . . . the more you make, the more resources were used to make it. Thus the more you pay in compensation to society.

Everything else . . . well that's why I dig Mos Def.

But in his plan, upperclass citizens would be forced to use some of their extra money on public services or else they would face additional taxes. So in concept, rich people would be using their money to perform or help perform several of the projects that their taxes would be used for anyway, like if they were to donate to a schools or to help build up a community. So either way the rich are forced to spend more than 10% of their wealth, just in a way they choose.
