Sweet Ride USA - A New Web Series
We ride bikes. We eat desserts. We explore until we burn it all off.
Sweet Ride USA is a new web series on YouTube that combines the fun of riding bikes with friends and the hedonistic pleasures of seeking out the best desserts that a city has to offer. In each episode, host Steve Isaacs and his group of riders discover some cool secret places, meet some fascinating people and ride a route designed to burn off every calorie they consume.
In the first episode, Steve is joined by Andrea Denike Martinez, Nat Gale, Steven Lau and York Tan. They begin in Silverlake Los Angeles, head to the Golden Road Brewery to try out a croissant bread pudding, then ride down along the LA river path to the Nickel Diner in Downtown LA to sample a bacon donut. Before the ride, Erika the Dessert Expert tells them how many calories they'll need to pedal off to hit zero.
Along the way they'll take a look at some locations from the sci-fi classic Blade Runner, and talk with Nat who works in the LA Mayor's Office of Transportation about the battle to transform LA into a bike-friendly city.
