Yea im 16 and going thru life with a stutter isent fun. I wanted to aske a girl out on a date for my first time, but you know what i couldent bring myself to it. Im not doing well in school because of it. Its not fun going thru life with it.

You should approach the girl, tell her that you stutter and ask her out. Even if she says no, your in the same position that you were before. You need to live your life, don't avoid any speaking situations. Keep good eye contact when you stutter.

My stuttering caused me to exceptionally bad social skills, causing to give me stress about my social life, this increased stress caused me to suck at school/sports so now I'll go nowhere in life.

The only fair aspect of life is chance. For the 50% of people who become successful, the other 50% must be unsuccessful to balance out the world. I have lived in the lower 50% of my society all my life and I'm brave enough to accept it.

i stutter too. and i got a nickname in highschool. im called "stutters" and i have a lot of friends and it hates me but it sucks because you just want to get the word out. ugg

I've been stuttering since I was a child and it gets in your way and ruins your life because you're embarassed and people look at you like you're mentally challenged or isn't smart it's so depressing people who don't suffer with it DO NOT understand. Also they don't understand how bad it hurts or how much it strains your neck muscles it's horrible!!

I hate my stutter..it became a little more frequent as i went into highschool and its hard making friends but it is a part of who i am and if people can't accept that....than i say they are missing out on a special person.
