@moryciej It's not going up or down it's going around the earth. It's more the fact that it shoots out of that bright cloud that the camera was actually trying to get a good look at. Yes it could have skimmed the atmosphere and came thru that light by chance. I'm more intrigued by the light area tbh lol. :)

When watching the clip from the beginning, one realizes that the Earth centre is ABOVE the upper left corner of the image. So the meteor is actually going DOWN, toward the Earth surface. If only the end of the clip is watched, the assumption is easily made that the Earth is BELOW the lower right corner of the image, so it looks as if the meteor was moving up away from Earth. It is only an illusion.
