The 18th Annual Aspen Medical Products San Diego Triathlon Challenge (SDTC) was an event unlike any other in the world. Inspiration, perspiration and determination were the words of the day, as more than 200 of the world's top physically challenged athletes took on a grueling challenge distance (1 mile swim, 44 mile bike, 10 mile run) triathlon event side-by-side with 550 able-bodied triathletes, celebrities and pros. Held in the La Jolla Cove in San Diego, this unique event raised more than $1.2 million for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), allowing it to fulfill its mission of providing people with physical disabilities the funding and support they need to participate in sports and fitness activities.
