There are two actual versions of ymo's first album. The japanese 'original' release has no female vocals in tong poo and many of the tracks sound slightly different (different mix). The added vocals in tong poo clearly indicate they were trying to make it more appealing for western listeners. The japanese cover has a cigarette holder & tv showing a video game on the cover (ALCA-286)

These bass lines seem to be what inspired Daft Punk's basslines, they sound similar, but YMO is even more groovy! Love this so much!

@n64wilbert their first alubum including this song came out in november 1978 (not 1979!). but i think the video was produced in 1979 coz it contains US '79 mix.

@n64wilbert Cannot say for sure as i have no data to say for sure. The dvd's my clips come from do not say. I would hazard a guess and say '79.
