Islam: A short documentary by Raechelle Dias (Part 1 of 3)

Journalist Raechelle Dias explores Islam post 9/11 in a documentary filmed in Australia. The moderate religious practice of Islam has been gravely overshadowed by the consequences of Islamophobia, and its message of peace and tolerance practiced by the great majority of Muslims has been missed by many non-Muslims exposed to mass media. The diverse factions and separate cultural identities in Islamic countries impact on how the religion is understood, and the conversion to Islam in the face of growing Islamophobia is also looked at.
