According to the Lyrics on Demand" website, the correct words to that passage are:
"They say that the father's insane, And dear Missus Perkin's a game."
Don`t feel too bad for not knowing them, though; I`m 55 yeras old, and I NEVER COULD figure-out what they were saying until I checked the lyrics very recently. I would give you a "link" to the lyrics, but YouTube won`t let me.

@DaveWollenberg so they induct bands based on which band has the biggest amount of popularity,not talent and legacy.

@DaveWollenberg the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame is just a commercial show aimed to entertain people of all ages,a lot of them don't have any musical knowledge or are kids that didn't grow ip with this music and only know radio bands like Zeppelin,Floyd,Kansas,etc,

@DaveWollenberg Not only the Doobie Bros,also my two favorite bands King Crimson and Deep Purple which are two extremely influential bands with so much talent and they haven't been inducted yet in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame either..
