God i feel so bad for Vanda. No wonder she turned to drink.

a real shame i feel for these people, it's so hard once your in it's grip.

wish the film would stop skipping from scene to scene, repeating clips. It is ruining an otherwise interesting film.

I've never met a problem drinker (including myself) who hasn't drunk for underlying psychological causes, but as the Dr in this says, these are so rarely treated. Hospitals spend so much money treating people with severe alcohol-related diseases, but then these people are just sent home again once the immediate danger has passed. Providing psychiatric support, while expensive as a pre-emptive outlay initially, would save so much money in the long run; sufferers wouldn't be so likely to relapse.

I certainly do get that she's had a hard time and I can't speak for that... but frankly so have alot of pepole, I myself used to cut myself cuz of my own gritty past but saying "It's a disease" is just an excuse to not get better I'm not pretending it's easy. If it was just that no problem. but she's CHOOSING to be a helpless sack of crap and to make others care for her, wallowing in pity all day is only making her suffering worse... I can't sympathize with her for that reason.

This is very sad :( I get urges to binge drink very often so I can only imagine what it's like to be an alcoholic.l It also annoys me when people who like to get pissed say "Omggz I'm such an alcoholic" It's a serious matter and they have no idea.
