Chabad's new central address in Jerusalem, 770 Western Parkway will transform a cluster of extraordinary properties directly facing the Western Wall, into the spiritual epicenter of the World Lubavitch Movement. A philanthropic spiritual outreach initiative of Guma Aguiar and his wife Jamie, their goal is to create a vehicle for spreading the Rebbe's wisdom to visitors and residents from the heart of Jerusalem. The project will showcase the Rebbe's vast archive of illuminating discussions, and will feature museum-quality exhibits and multimedia platforms. Every level contains breathtaking views of the Western Wall and Temple Mount, and the spacious rooftop amphitheater features one of the most spectacular vistas in all of Israel. "770 West" is currently in the design phase and is slated for completion in 2012. The Aguiar family is donating all of the properties involved, and Guma himself is spearheading the project's development in conjunction with Chabad leadership and lay leaders from across the globe. Presented in Guma's own words, this short film explains the project's inspiration, and includes insightful perspective from Rabbi Sholom Lipskar. Coinciding with The Rebbe's 109th birth date, it premiered the evening of April 14, 2011, in Bal Harbour Florida where the project was officially announced. The event was attended by many dignitaries, including Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, the Lubavitcher Rebbe's personal assistant, and his wife Devorah. Run Time 6:39. Produced & Directed by Jerry Levine.
