http://YourGeekNews.com for more! After pulling in over $1Billion for Warner Brothers, it was pretty nice of them to give $200Million of it back to Christopher Nolan for a little movie he called Inception. Especially since it's probably Nolan's finest work, and on its way to possibly being the biggest movie of the summer. The only question is: what happened at the end?
Movie of the year. The King's Speech can go to the Bahamas!

@AceGuitarR7 @AceGuitarR7 Well, the answer to that would be that.. uhm... she didn't die because she was right? She escaped that dream.
Also: "In the end you can hear Cobb's top topple over thus proving that he's not in a dream... Nolan's response: 'This gives Cobb a base-line reality. But he's an untrustworthy narrator.'" (From an i09 article on 'Inception')
...'Untrustworthy' because he (falsely) believes that his totem can tell him anything useful, for the reasons outlined above and more.

@skeptic9876 There's really MUCH more to it than that, I recommend you go back for another viewing with a more open frame of mind; don't just take everything at face value and you'll realize that, really, it's a great movie on many levels, not just the literal dream ones shown to us in the film.

@skeptic9876 Well try this on for size; that entire last scene doesn't matter, and is one of the film's MANY red herrings- this is because a totem only tells you if you're trapped in SOMEONE ELSE'S DREAM, as they would not be able to replicate it's specific dimensions, etc... but, if Mal was right and Cobb is trapped in HIS OWN MIND, well, then, it tells us nothing because of course his own subconscious would know it's dimensions, and whether or not it's supposed to fall, etc...

Holy fuck. I never thought of the fact that he could still be dreaming when he tries out the sedative! I hate you. TOO MANY THEORIES AND POSSIBLITIES!!!

@jts173 you are thinking too much. if his wife was right all along than why did she die? she died because she went mad. she thought she was dreaming and wanted to wake up. she put her totum locked away so she could stay in the dream world and grow old with cobb. cobb was still going mad because he was dreaming too long. the only thing that kept him sane was his totum. he knew he was awake when the totum wobbled and didnt keep spinning. which just at the end it starts to woble

inception was quite bad. I dont know why people were confused at the end. They musn't be too bright. You dont see it fall but you see & hear it fricking wobble. In never ever wobbles in the dream world. If nolan wanted to make it ambiguous he should have shot it diffirently. ie dont show the audience it wobble and dont let them hear it wobble. IT WOBBLES ITS ON ITS WAY DOWN i can draw no other conclusion its reality not a dream at the end. I dont even know why its a talking point.

cobb made i outta of limbo by letting his wife go but he didnt leave with that architect girl because he had to save that chinese dudes life so he went back into limbo got him out and the both woke up. you can tell that he was in reality because they way people speak. his grandad wasnt even home the last time he saw the back of the kids head. the thud at the end let u know it fell over and they made it go black so it would make you think
