My GF has a place in NW Vegas. Don't do it. We are in LA and have to manage from a far. Her place is 3 bdroom, 2 car garage. We can't rent it out to save our fucken lives. Only if you plan on living there in the vegas area. Even then impossible to find good tenants.
Vegas has shitty tennants. You need to provide free utilities, cable, internet etc just to get responses to your ad. It'll be a full time job. People forget that and think it just magically maintains itself.
Yeah I agree. Houses are for married couples. Youd be better off getting a escort than buying a house to get laid. Buying a bubble house is nuts if your only after tail.
I think a cool car is more impressive to girls then a cool house that is just my opinion here in orange county. Come on man you know have these people driving around in 50K cars live in apts LOL Most people my age are not buying houses in OC (too expensive) thus the car is more impressive. Only people I know buying houses my age are married couples w/ dual high income even sometime with help from their parents.
I hear you on CA property/rent being expensive. I live in orange county and a 1bed/1 bath apt around where I live is like $1400-1500 per month. I am moving to TX in less than a month and you can get the same type of apt in a really nice neighborhood for like $800. I might be able to buy a house in a few years in TX something I wouldn't be able to do in OC, at least not in the short term. the one con of TX is that it has high prop taxes. Renting is excellent in Texas though
If you need a place to live and have the money I would buy a house, get a foreclosure for sure. Like you said, there is a glut of housing off the market in Riverside/Las Vegas/ parts of Arizona. Housing prices will keep dropping in those areas. My opinion: Vegas will be the last place to recover. If I were to live in AZ I would live somewhere in the Phoenix metro area around Scottsdale area. Flagstaff is cool but too small of a city for me. depends on the size of city you are looking for
Buying cheap property would be ideal if you want to put a rv on it or shack or something. Personally I don't want to be tied down to some lot in the middle of nowhere.
LOL Thats funny that you admit you bought a house for the women factor. Most guys won't admit thats the primary reason many do it. I would buy a house myself because I like privacy and quiet and its not very quiet or private in an apartment.
Housing prices have NOT bottomed. The effect of the tax credit expiring has only begu

Why would you buy a house to get laid. You can get an escort of any hot chick your choosing and it would be cheaper.
