Nick's POV
"Hmm!?"
I awoke to some yelling and the couch moving.
I turned my head to see Joe. I smiled oh so darlingly, but the only response I received was the most pissed off face I have ever seen on Joe's face. I was confused. Had I wet the couch or something..? He kept the face & left no intimation of changing it. Now I really, REALLY didn't get it. What did I do?
"What's your hand doing around my girl?" Joe whispered angrily. He probably didn't want Mom, Dad or Frankster to hear.
"Huh?"
"Don't huh me, you asshole!"
"H--" I stopped myself before Joe insulted me any longer. I scratched my head, wondering why in the world he was yelling at me.. Then I realized.. What was the weight on my shoulder? Where was my other hand? And there the answers were. Wrapped tightly, just as Joe had said, was my arm around his girl. Kat was still asleep. I swear, nothing could wake this girl up. She breathed evenly and seemed to have just the slightest smile smeared across her face. And as much as I wanted to smile, kiss her, hold her tighter and embrace her beauty longer.., (cheesy, I know :D) I knew it pained Joe just as much it did for me not to do what I desired most... Regretfully, I let go of her and stood up. At that same moment, Kat had woken up.
Kat's POV
-yawn- Crap. I just had the greatest dream ever and I just can't remember it at all.. -yawn- After two yawns, you'd think I'd at least be awake enough to function. I stretched a little bit. Oh that's right, I slept at the Jonases. -smiles- I love it here. -yawn- I looked up. Whoa. There they were. The two most beautiful guys in my life. Joe. My boyfriend. The one who knew how to make me laugh when I was down. The one who would stop at nothing just to see me happy. Oh how I loved him. Then there was Nick. Oh, Nick. Sensitive.. talented.. caring... My best friend. Only better. I loved him too. But in a way that was so intense, it probably wouldn't be considered "just friends" love. It was something different. But.. what? It couldn't be the way I loved Joe. No way. Was it stronger? I shook my head, I needed a reality check. I looked at Joe again. He stood at an aggressive stance towards Nick. His fists were clenched, his eyebrows-- furrowed. And.. was that a vein I could see popping out of his forehead? As for Nick... He kept his usual face. Void of emotion. Now how was I supposed to understand what the hell was going on?
"You guys?" I said hoping for an answer
"Morning, Kat." Nick said, with a voice matching his face. Emotionless. Awkward silence.
".. I'm going on a walk." He swiftly walked out of the room & the last thing I heard was the door shut. I knew he needed to clear his head.
Nick's POV
I got out of there as soon as possible. True, I needed to clear my head. But I had another purpose. What the hell just happened back there? My hand, her body? The way we fit together like a puzzle piece...? How did it...? Why did--? GAH! I took my phone out and dialed a number. "The number you have called is unavailable at the moment. If you would like to leave a message--" I hung up. Tried again. Same monotone reply. Once more. I quickened my pace and had eventually started jogging, running then sprinting to my destination.
WHOOOOA. Where's Nick going? Who's he calling? OH ! & tell me, readers, lovely, lovely readers.. At this point are you Team Jat or Team Nat? :D
