As promised here is a new video,
this time edited with Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus.

Filmed with Toshiba Camileo X100 in 1080p30fps and 720p60fps
And later rendered/exported to 720p24fps

In this video I did some time remapping and converted the 60fps and 30fps
footage into 24fps, to test slow motion and cinematic frame rates.

Also did some simple color corrections to get a better feeling of the image.

(And there is a typo with my name, it's Tammeleht, my keyboard is old and broken, so some letters wont work with a first push)

  • Maybe it's something wrong with your camera? My 60i works ok. It creates 2 files, but the first one has the whole video, and second one just seems to be a resized small version of the big one.

  • @HeavyDist but can you edit the file also? and what player did you use to playback the video?

  • IC. Did you try filming in 1080p30 and 1080i60?

Which one do you think is better for achieving the perfect motion blurring between the frames when downconverting to 24fps? (24 fps is THE movie look, but not to look jerky, the moving parts have to be blurred enough)

  • @HeavyDist to be honest i just slowed it down to 24p, it's not the right way to do it, but it gave a goot look, anyway recording in 1080i60 is quite pointles imo, because this camera creates two files when filming in 1080i60 and both are pretty useles .. the file withc is 1080 is only 2 seconds and messed up pixels ant the other is a mesed up sd clip. It sure is strange that the camera creates two files

  • @smr597bmx anyway i think the best way to achieve a great 24p look is to convert the 1080p30 into 1080i60 and then some how do the magic to get it to 24p.

  • Did you use any stabilisation software? VirtualDub/Deshaker?

  • @HeavyDist no except for one clip, i used the internal stabilization function in magix movie edit, but to be honest it made the clip worse...
