Jeanette's voice is just the most impressive and beautifully built specimen of talent that i've ever heard. Fantasia's voice does feel more emotional and painful, and the huskiness of her tone makes it feel so much more raw and authentic, but in just vocal ability it doesn't compare to Jeanette's. On top of that Jeanette's just a much better trained actress. Fantasia may be something of a real life Celie but i think this is a time that ability beats reality

This reminds me of Jennifer Holliday. The only one who can be artistically comparable with this performance. This is one of the greatest performances ever comes out from Broadway.

This issss amazing and all... But it is just amazing for her vocal range. Broadway is not so much vocal ability, it's believability! So therefore, FANTASIA... No one compares to Fantasia :) Sorry Fantasia haters! <3

well i am a HUGE fan of fantasia but i cant compare the two,yes what yall say are true jennette has more experience then fantasia in acting, BUT to me fantasia PLAYED THAT ROLE OF CELIA REALLY REALLY WELL AND WHEN FANTASIA SUNG IM HERE IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE THAT WHEN SHE SINGS THAT SONG YOU BEEN THREW WHAT SHE BEEN THREW...I LOVED BOTH OF THEM JUST CANT COMPARE THE TWO
