I have had heart surgery twice (at 4 yrs old and at 12 yrs old) and I am now 33 years old and living a great life. I am expecting to have another procedure in the next couple of years and when that day comes, I will ask to meet my perfusionist and thank them ahead of time for their expert care keeping me alive. Thanks to all the folks who make open and closed heart surgery a viable option for those of us who need it. PERFUSIONIST ROCK ! ! ! !
