James Keogh, a volunteer in the International Brigade, was 22 years old when he was killed by Fascist forces at Calceite in Spain in 1938. On 25th November 2011, after a long campaign by Tameside TUC and his family, a Blue Plaque was unveiled at Ashton-under-Lyne library, where he had spent many hours studying. The speakers at the ceremoney include his nephew, Michael Harrison, and Secretary of Tameside TUC, Brian Bamford
Nice to see a cheerful plaque. It's always good to be reminded of just how many Bolsheviks Franco's men and all the brave Fascist volunteers managed to shoot and blow up!

"Killed by fascist forces", one less red stooge in the world. Pity Tameside can't find anything better to spend it's money on.
"They shall not pass" boasted the Reds...They passed!
