Tony Laffan as well being an illusionst is also an accomplished Escape Artist. He has also successfully attempted a number of stunning escapes including the Houdini Milk Can escape, the Aerial Straight Jacket Escape and a death defying escape from the tracks of speeding Roller Coaster. Tony has been performing this escape for over 10 years and is the third generation Escapologist to own this particular Water Torture Cell - which is over 30 years old.

Hi Danny- Thanks for taking the time to post your views on the Water Torture. Houdini was truly an amazing person and a pioneer and adventurer on all accounts. If you get the time I highly recommend reading his Bio- there are some interesting stories about his life out in the market place. Cheers Tony

  • Great Accomplishment man!

  • Wow that amazes me how long you could hold your breath. I'm a professional swimmer and it took me years to get where I am :) Great work man keep it up

  • Brilliant trick i have a question how long have you been in the magic buisness ? and i am a BIG fan of houdini you are brilliant at this water cell you should have more publisity sorry for my bad spelling TonyLaffan

  • You should have your female assistant perform water escapes on her own as well.

  • very impressive that you can do that

  • All these things you do amaze me, but how come you perform this trick behind a curtain?

  • @finalninjazeromaster -Sorry to disappoint you, but you are completely wrong on both accounts and couldn't be further from the truth. In the complete full live presentation the handcuffs are police issued by the local branch, supplied by a police officer there on the day. The lid is completely examined thoroughly before the escape in front of the audience and the padlocks are supplied by a local locksmith which is verified by him at the performance, & locked by independent security guards. Tony
