Edit: I realized what you're doing. You're going to the wrong folder. You're looking in the My Documents folder, where your saved games and such are, while you need to find where the game is actually installed.
well i dont know which version of civ 4 u have. u have an original version? i have civ 4 complete and this is the path u can find the music: 2kgames - firaxis games - civ 4 complete - assets - sounds - soundtrack. and then there u find medieval, renaissance etc. I hope it helps and u can enjoy the sound!
Everyone says the soundtrack is saved on the hard drive as mp3s and are usable outside the game. I wonder why mine don't have them i go to the game's system folders and they are emtpy except for where i save my single player games. Anyone know whats going on?

"custom assets" would be something you use for mods and stuff.

@waaltue I have civilization 4 game of the yeat edition. My assets is actually called Custom Assets and when i open the folder its blank.
